Orange County Director of Economic Development Joins HVEDC’s Board of Directors

GOSHEN, N.Y. (July 12, 2018) — Hudson Valley Economic Development Corporation (HVEDC) announced the appointment of Bill Fioravanti, Orange County’s Director of Economic Development, to its board of directors.

Fioravanti was named to the newly created Orange County economic development position in May. In his role, he develops policies, procedures and programs that enhance economic growth and activities in Orange County. He also implements programs to retain, restore and expand the commercial and industrial tax base, while facilitating their expansion.

“We are excited to welcome Bill Fioravanti to our board,” said Mike Oates, President and CEO of HVEDC. “Bill brings valuable insight and experience because he has worked in various facets of both community and economic development, which will ultimately benefit residents of the Hudson Valley as we continue to grow the regional economy.”

Prior to joining Orange County, Fioravanti most recently served as the Orange County Partnership’s director of business attraction for more than four years. He had also previously served as the associate executive director of the YMCA of Middletown and executive director for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Orange and Sullivan Counties.

“This role with the Hudson Valley Economic Development Corporation is a perfect fit for Bill,” said Orange County Executive Steven M. Neuhaus. “He brings a tremendous amount of economic development knowledge and experience to the board. Bill will be an asset to HVEDC and will help build on the success that we have created in the region.”

“I look forward to working with my new colleagues on the board to continue the regional synergy that has been created by this organization,” Fioravanti said. “HVEDC has an extraordinary reputation for economic development in the Hudson Valley, in New York State and beyond and I am proud to now be part of this organization.”
