Prior to starting Stockade Strategies, Ahouse managed the New York government affairs portfolio for Altice USA, and, prior to that, Cablevision.  In that capacity he represented the company in Albany on legislative and regulatory matters and managed the company’s relationships with the more than 200 municipalities served on Long Island, in New York City and throughout the Hudson Valley. Before joining Cablevision, Ahouse served as chief of staff to U.S. Congressman Maurice Hinchey. During a 15-year tenure with the Congressman, Ahouse held positions in both Washington and New York and played integral roles in several of the Congressman’s priority projects, including the creation of The Solar Energy Consortium and support for the construction of the Walkway over the Hudson.

Ahouse has been Vice Chair of the T-SEC, The Strategic Economic Consortium, Board of Directors since 2011. The organization is an inter-regional, industry-led, public/private partnership, dedicated to enabling manufacturing innovation and engaging academic institutions. He was also a member of the Board of Directors for Walkway Over the Hudson from 2015 to 2018.

“We are thrilled to welcome Dan to our HVEDC Board of Directors,” said Mike Oates, President and CEO of HVEDC. “Dan’s background in politics, government and development is extensive. He will be a great asset and provide valuable insight to HVEDC and its Board of Directors.”

“I am excited to join the leadership team at HVEDC,” Ahouse said.  “The organization’s work is critical to the long-term economic success and sustainability of the Hudson Valley and I am looking forward to lending my thoughts and expertise in a meaningful way that impacts and grows our business community.”
