Pestano Foods, Growler & Gill Join Hudson Valley Food & Beverage Alliance

GOSHEN, N.Y. (July 24, 2017) — New Rochelle-based Pestano Foods and Nanuet-based Growler & Gill have recently joined the Hudson Valley Food and Beverage Alliance.

Pestano Foods is the manufacturer of Toma Bloody Mary Mix, an artisanal cocktail mix that requires users to just add the spirits. Toma incorporates sauce from the tomatillo, a non-sweet fruit that brings a tart, citrus note that pairs well with savory dishes and helps balance fatty foods that are often indulged in during brunch (when the Bloody Mary is most often consumed). Additionally, Toma is made with a unique blend of tomato sauce, sriracha and steak sauce. Learn more at www.drinktoma.com

Growler & Gill has 24 taps of fresh craft beer and more than 500 bottles of fine beers from around the world. The hybrid gastropub and bottle shop features Polish, German and American favorites that are designed with beer in mind. Growler & Gill is aptly named, as patrons are invited to sample beer selections on site in a “gill” – the British equivalent of a 4-ounce glass – and to fill up a “growler,” a 64-ounce refillable glass jug. The restaurant also offers premium wine and Prosecco by the glass. To learn more, visit www.growlerandgill.com

“The founders of these organizations saw a niche market for their products and services and successfully took their ideas and ran with them,” said Laurence P. Gottlieb, president and CEO of HVEDC. “We look forward to having Pestano Foods and Growler & Gill as members of the Food and Beverage Alliance, as they both make great additions to the organization.”
