In 2014, HVEDC launched the Hudson Valley Economic Development Network (HVEDN), which exists to encourage continued business education and training to enhance economic opportunity in the Hudson Valley. HVEDN creates a bridge between the general public and academia, government, not-for-profit organizations and businesses in order to inform each other about the needs of the community at large. By creating these synergies, HVEDN works toward keeping young people in the area, helping create job opportunities for those in the community that are unemployed or under-employed and also allow companies to grow their businesses.
