Are you considering raising capital for your startup? Thinking about doing some (more) angel investing? to learn about what’s happening in the Hudson Valley Startup community? Join us to hear lessons learned from experienced investors about how they select, invest in and work with entrepreneurs to build strong companies and generate returns.
On March 1, 2018 at SUNY New Paltz in the Hudson Valley, Upstate Capital is hosting an event to connect current and prospective angel investors, entrepreneurs and people interested in entrepreneurship, investing and the burgeoning Hudson Valley startup scene.
Chip Parmele, based in Princeton NJ, is a limited partner in several early stage funds, and has worked with numerous companies. He will discuss lessons learned for both investors and entrepreneurs, including the importance of alignment, fundamentals he looks for in potential investments, and what to think about when considering taking on outside investors.
Rami Katz created a proprietary deal scoring system at Excell Partners, the firm he helped launch in Rochester NY. That scoring system is used by multiple firms to rank potential investment opportunities. Originally from Israel, Rami brings a combination of legal expertise and investment experience to share best practices for evaluating potential investments and working with entrepreneurs.
